When I searched google, this comic came up first. (amazing). But “stripping functor” is supposed to be another name for “forgetful functor”? How have I never _ever_ heard this before?

There was probably too much giggling heard during lectures, so they changed the name.

I can just imagine all the groomsmen cramped in strip club furiously devising and solving problems of topology going “Yeah, baby, yeah, that’s it. You know how I like my Lie groups, don’t ya?”
