You have to love a good math joke :)
Just as a little FYI since Fermat isn’t very well known:
He was a French mathematician.
This comic refers to Fermat’s Last Theorem.
Look it up on wikipedia if you want more details.
It’s probably also a reference to Canon in D by Pachelbel. Which is damn annoying.
