I’d like to take a moment and thank you for another year of awesome comics. With shame I admit that I haven’t commented very much, and looking back in the archives I realize I’m not alone: you have drawn far too many amazingly funny and insightful comics that have received far too few visible online signs of appreciation.
I guess there are several reasons for my lack of commenting, one being that often I just read it in Google Reader, have a laugh and move on to the not so funny arXiv-feeds. (I don’t dare stay too long, what should I do if the dean walks by as I’m ogling the lovely Ms. Sierpinski?) More importantly, it’s very difficult to give a good comment to a great comic. Just posting “Haha” makes one feel boring in comparison, which especially relevant here since you’re exceedingly witty.
I’ll try to better myself next year but if I don’t, at least you now know why.
Happy new year, and congratulations on the snowy Fields medal!
So, one snowman turns to the other and says ‘Can you smell carrot?’
Happy Christmas.
When I go to sleep after too much egg nog, I have sweet dreams, too.
Well, I used to .. but I think I’ve long past dreaming about winning a Fields Medal. :-|
