Whenever you long for simpler times, realize that at those moments you didn’t find the things you were working on simple. This can only mean one thing: you have become smarter since. :-D
Some weeks ago, my undergraduate advisor had some status on his Facebook about how he was finishing writing an exam that would crush the spirits of his students. Incidentally, I had a Complex Analysis midterm that evening. I made some comment about how I missed those good ol’ days.
He responded that he remembered the good ol’ days of evening graduate exams. Now he has board meetings and panels.
These are the good ole days, that means everything is going to get worse. I wish for the good times when I could still do real math. Now all I can do is partial differential equations, adding is gone. Same thing has happened to all of my engineering/math friends.

Ah yes, good times. Was it just me, or was the integral symbol horrible at frisbee throwing? I think it was those stubby little arms…

There was once a time when I knew something.
Or so I believed.
Wait, topology?
